Hi! I’m Stefania Reyn (aka Stepawnia), an illustrator and visual development artist based in Indonesia.

I studied Art and Design for my Bachelor's, picking up character design and worldbuilding along the way. I've always loved exploring, and that's what eventually brought me to children's book illustration. It's stuck the longest, and I think that says something.

My characters tend to come out soft, round, and a little squishy, like plush toys that wandered into a storybook, set in worlds full of small, cozy details, the kind you want to sit inside for a while.

Picture books are where this all started. I used to stare at a single spread way too long, making up backstories for characters who probably had two lines of dialogue tops. That's still what I'm chasing: small, easy-to-miss details that make a story feel bigger than the page, and a little wonder tucked into the everyday.

Outside of sketching, I make stationery or collect little ideas from everyday life, usually with my cat, Cloudy, nearby.
